Fantastic little place, great for a trip in a domestic area, with lots of breakfast options available in the restaurant.

The hotel was fantastic little, but I stayed for 4 nights only. In my case they offered Wheelchair Accessible room with views of a field and 4 poster bed, as example and that was great. The location was ideal and incredible, walk from a valley and a river. Appreciated to be walk from a bus stop.

The Honest Lawyer Hotel has been refurbished so now the facilities match the extremely high standard of the staff . Nobody could be friendlier or more willing to serve . We stayed for our daughters' graduation and the place was buzzing . It is in a rural location but just 3 miles from the city centre so its relatively quiet and you get a great nights sleep . The food is of a high quality and plentiful . I would definitely recommend this hotel and congratulate the manager and all his staff on their performance .

The location was fantastic, just a short distance from the center, and we enjoyed relaxing by the lake nearby, which was only a 30-minute walk away.

A pleasant place to stay with good facilities and friendly staff. I was in touch with the hotel before we arrived and all staff were more than happy to help and responded to email enquiries very quickly and efficiently. We chose this hotel as we were attending an event at The Stadium of Light (last minute and couldn't get a room in Sunderland). Very easy to get to by taxi which the hotel arranged - would definately stay here again

We had twin room with an en suite bathroom.

Booked a wheelchair accessible room with views of a field and a 4 poster bed, which I really appreciated. the service provided was good. - Got ironing free of charge, which was not bad at all. - They recommended a beautiful restaurant with a wonderful bar and restaurant just nearby.

Location and staff are simply very good! It has a good bar and pleasant and exceptional staff. The location is marvellous and quiet, 4 km from Mount Oswald Golf Club. Besides, we were walk from restaurants and pubs. The restaurant is lovely, serves freshly cooked dishes. Honestly nothing too much trouble.

The hotel is conveniently located in a central area, close to both Newcastle and Durham city center, and offers rooms with pop up beds.

Its unbeatable, central location was a plus. The restaurant was nice with a wonderful bar and restaurant, we ordered freshly cooked dishes. In general the staff were supper friendly and exceptional.
